Lidar is the feature that matters

A lidar turret on top of the robot builds an actual map of your home. That gives you no-go zones, room-by-room cleaning and predictable coverage in straight lines. Without it, the robot is guessing, and cleaning a three-bedroom flat takes twice as long with worse coverage.

Auto-empty docks: convenience with a cost

An auto-empty dock empties the robot into a sealed bag, so you handle dust every few weeks rather than every few days. It is genuinely convenient and the main reason the K30 costs more than the X9.
